Charles Béraud
Prior to joining the Canadian Public Service in Ottawa, Canada in 2014, Charles worked for nearly 9 years with Cirque du Soleil as its Public Affairs Coordinator, first at the International Headquarters in Montreal and then for the Resident Shows Division in Las Vegas. He subsequently worked as the Technical Documentalist on the creation of Cirque’s Michael Jackson One. During his time in Las Vegas, he was also a founding Board member of Win-Win Entertainment, a non-profit dedicated to bringing smiles to children in hospitals by arranging visits from entertainers, athletes, and celebrities. Charles also served on the board of the LGBTQIA+ Community Center of Southern Nevada, as well as on the Las Vegas Steering Committee and the National Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Charles also served as a founding board member of the Grand Orchestre Grande-Rivière, composed of alumni musicians from the school of the same name, where his lifelong love for music and performing was ignited, a love further nurtured through a variety of stage performances over the years including playing the role of Benny in RagTag Entertainment’s production of RENT.
