Eliot Douglass, a pianist, arranger, and composer has both broad and in-depth experience in the musical arena. Eliot was an original cast member in the Cirque du Soleil show Zumanity. He was also musical director for jazz vocalist Steve Tyrell and has performed with jazz legends Clark Terry, Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, and Billy Higgins, among others. In collaboration with librettist Philip Littell, Eliot has created critically acclaimed works for the Los Angeles musical theater scene including, The Wondering Whore and A Night Market. As a vocal coach and accompanist, Eliot has worked with celebrities that include Joan Collins, Shirley MacLaine and Debbie Reynolds in These Old Broads, and as a singing and French accent coach to Jack Nicholson in Something’s Gotta Give. Television performances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Good Morning America and Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. His non-profit work includes the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon and Criss Angel’s HELP (Heal Every Life Possible) where Eliot performed with Dee Snider the rebellious anthem, "We’re Not Gonna Take It." Eliot was a consultant for Holidays at the White House, a concert event for Former President George Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. And finally, being a world traveler and realizing the sky is not the limit, Eliot’s music has been enjoyed by astronauts orbiting planet earth. He has recorded music, including solo piano works, for three U.S. space shuttle missions and a “wake up” call that was broadcast from NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.
