Jorge Tapia Briggs
Jorge has 20 years of experience in Stage Management, starting in musical theatre in Mexico City as both a PSM and a Show Caller. Jorge has been working in ceremonies for 10 years, taking senior stage management roles in London 2012, Sochi 2014 & Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Additional ceremonies include the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011, Islamic Games 2017 and the Special Olympics World Games 2019. As a Production Stage Manager, credits include Pan American Games Toronto 2015 (Closing & ParaPans), Inviticus Games 2016, Saudi Arabia National Day 2019 and the South East Asian Games 2019. Event work across Mexico includes fashion shows and corporate events and the annual Day of the Dead Festival and with Cirque du Soleil in their first Mexican resident show Joya in 2014. Additional Cirque credits include the 2018 Saudi Arabia National Day and their summer production in Andorra for the last four years. Jorge is based in Mexico City.
