Marahscalh Stanton

What began as a six month gig “to pay the rent ‘til AMDA starts” turned into a career he didn’t know he wanted.  Marahscalh’s decades long life at sea began on a cold, wet morning in New York City at an open call audition for Carnival Cruise Lines.  Over the next fifteen years he would progress through the ranks from principle singer to Cast Manager to Featured Solo Act into administration and ultimately Cruise Director.  In 2007, after a restless retirement, Marahscalh joined Princess Cruises and has sailed to over 300 destinations aboard ‘the Love Boat’.  As onboard Entertainment Director he heads the Entertainment Department and has the first and final say on every facet of the production of some of the most incredible performances afloat.  As the destination leader, Princess prides itself on the variety of programming options to capture the hearts, minds and imaginations of our guests who want and expect more than just a cruise.  Marahscalh oversees a team of industry professionals at the tops of their games.  From multimillion dollar production shows to cultural presentations from natives of the ports of call we visit to celebrations and festivals famous and infamous there is more to do when guests want to do it.  His role requires daily collaboration with the other onboard executives lead by the Captain, constant communication with the California based corporate office but most closely with his core team of Cruise Director, Cast Manager, Senior Production Manager , Youth & Teen Activities Managers and Music Manager. Under his guidance and leadership they provide guests of all ages with the best in live, recorded , immersive and interactive entertainment-from music to movies, lectures to line dancing, ballroom to basketball , game shows to book clubs, Broadway, West End caliber talent, comedy  club and variety artist from around the world and partnerships with some of the most successful players in the industry entertainment industry cruise ships are the place to be!
